Stamina Problems after R7

hello fellow fight coaches

Ive set up a good fight plan for my fighters that seems to get the job done in the first few rounds, but once i reach round seven, my fighter goes AWOL & i tend to lose my round winning streak and most of the time lose because the fighters too tired to carry on :/

Anyway, long story short, short story long, does anyone have a fight plan that give the fighter the ability to rest but not give up the points? or at least not too many :S

One of the big gyms will come along & answer this better in a minute
but for now would suggest :

- Think carefully using ring & feint if your fighter doesnt have a decent stamina rating
- only win rounds as well as you have to ( + a bit maybe ) i.e. if 0/25/5/70 will do it ponder before using 0/40/5/55
- consider reining in if you get ahead by a wide margin "if score > x then ( defensive , mid power , high def line for example )
- Sim around with different things to see what works ( throw every plan you can against yours & tweak till it does as well as you can make it )
- Depending on your build & theirs winning the stamina battle early on can be at least as important as score early in the fight .

Now watch while 10 people post telling me I'm doing it wrong

Finding a good way & getting better is most of the fun of it IMO

Bullan has made some very good points...if stamina is kept in check you can keep resting down to a minimum.

here are a few pointers:

1. Try to rest BEFORE you get tired. If you wait to rest AFTER you are tired, you may have a rest conditional kick in while your opponent has a "destroy the body" conditional kicking in aka "if opp = 1 then 0/25-B/50/25{inside}" If this happens you will basically be a punching bag for the round resulting in more damage. After some experimentation I have found out that your boxer gets tired when stamina is around 67%....so rest if stamina < 70

2. If you have to rest make sure your opponent is not tired or exhausted....(opp = 2)

3. I like to rest if score > 0 or if score > 1....if im going to give up a round by resting at least I can do so and still keep the score and hopefully the endurance battle close.

4. You dont want to rest in round 11 or 12. If you need to rest try to rest in rounds 7,8,9 and even as late as round 10.

5. Use a defensive style such as clinch if you have a strength advantage. Dont use feint, ropes, inside or allout, they are all offensive styles and you will take more damage or you take a hit on stamina.

So with all the information above you can come up with a conditional like this:

7:if score > 0 and stamina < 70 and opp = 2 then 60/0/0/40{style}

All completely spot on advice OFC , would just add that against human opponents it's important to vary your rest rounds as some of the managers here are more than capable of spotting if you dont & reverse engineering your lines for something like :

(your rest round ) : if score < 0 and stamina > 67 then 0/25-h/55/20 {hard hitting style} etc etc ( they might go to the body or even go allout if very confident/risk taking ) .

maybe is worth putting 5 or even 10 aggression if up against an opponent to steal the round if he tends to use rest lines to , to pinch the round if your rest line collides with his ( an old WEBL trick will have to see how well it works here )

Hey again guys,
Different problem, same rounds :S,
Ive set up 2 fight plans, one for vs aggressive fighters & one for vs defensive fighters.
Even against clear favourites in the practice these plans seem to work a charm for my boxer, however, after round 6-7 in the aggressive plan i cant find anything to keep the fighter on top... after round 6 he loses every round, whilst he was on a winning streak before!

What should i do? does anyone have any plans or advice? because ive been stuck on this for a month now!

When you say aggressive, what do you mean exactly? Do you meant throwing lots of punches or do you mean throwing power punches?

For example, a line like 0-55-10-35 is aggressive in that you are throwing a very high volume of punches but a line like 0-25-H-50-25 is also aggressive as you are throwing punches with very high power and headhunting. Also it is worth noting that if you go into R7 with a significant endurance advantage then your aggression may still not be enough to win the round, you could just tire your fighter out trying to keep up...

Aggressive mentality means that if boxer is taunted he will increase his aggression.

Is this what you are talking about?

yes. basically ive seen that the fighters performance changes depending on his mentality which means that i have to use different plans for each mentality and each fighter. (i always need several options and i like to experiment), but after round 7 against aggressive mentality fighters, my fighter seems to almost give up & i cant find a suitable line/s for the fight plan :/

I would strongly suggest writing fight plans primarily based on your fighters skills and not his mentality. His mentality is relatively peripheral in comparison to his fighting abilities so you should concentrate on trying to fight as efficiently as you can whilst still trying to win rounds...

very true i usually do but i have noticed that the mentality can change the fighters way of fighting, so im finding out how the mentalities can be beaten so that i can use these plans for my research. If i can combine this with the abilities i might be able to create an even better fight plan/s. I like to stir the pot a little and see what i can make

Agree with punchy fightplanning should not worry about mentality for most part. Especially if you have a fighter with high concentration you can pretty much ignore the taunting.
Now I think if you do have a big advantage (your flare>his concentration) using taunting can give you an importance advantage when used correctly.

If your boxer has very low concentration and he is aggressive you have to be prepared that if taunted he might go from 0-30-10-60 to 0-50-10-40, which could lead him to lose fight because he will run out of energy of get KOed due to low defense.

Can you point to the URL of your fight for us to see what the problem is?
