Aye, I have an upcoming welterweight fight starring my somewhat crappy boxer Ramone Baptiste ( www.box2glory.com/npc/1323bio.htm) who has a relative high explosiveness (10), but nothing more, his average skill is rated seven while his strength is at three. He will face a stronger opponent, which I just began to scout today. This boxer has also a height advantage and will fight at home. Actually I just made the fight because that opponent is "tired", and because my favourized opponent stopped negotiating with me. I dont want to spoil my record that is why I even thought about releasing him from his contract. The only chance I see is to survive the first rounds and then to knock him out. I dont know how to do that. Opponent has a higher range, probably even better footwork (what I dont know yet) and speed. I would even risk to lose the first eight rounds in a row and then to achieve the knockout. Any advices? It will be my first self- built fightplan. Or maybe to release him? (I would survive the financial risk without problems) If you need to know more about Ramone's stats, I will give more information! Thank you! //Edit: His chin sucks pretty hard, too, with a rating of 5. And a defense of 2...

Probably your best strategy is to try and ko him in R1 and hope that he is using low power. Us a line like 0/25-H/50/25 and you might get lucky if your opponent opens the fight using low power. Bear in mind that I am using my iPhone right now and haven't looked at this in detail but I just cannot see your guy last 12 rounds without getting ko'd given his awful chin and defence.
The other possibility is to go to the body whilst keeping your defence really high and hope that you wear him down, maybe 0/15-B/15/70. This could work given that your opponent looks to have poor stamina...

that is exaclty what this fighter has: www.box2glory.com/npc/6297bio.htmThis is where your fighter management/fight scheduling skills kick in Once I got this boxer into the top 4 of NA and was unable to schedule fights he became useless. Hopefully you have at least one attribute that you can work with. The problem you may have is that the one attribute you do have (expl) combined with your low chin / def really doesnt help. you need some chin to make expl effective. here is a sample of how to keep your score in check. you want to raise your aggression just a little bit in order to win rounds. aggression will tire you out so use just enough to win the rounds. once you are winning (if score > 1) then go for the KO, you may catch your opponent lowering his def & raising his aggression in order to keep the score in check. of course change the "style" to whatever works best against your opponent. ring style will prob give you the best defence, but will drain more stamina...if you have a height advantage then outside is your best bet. 1:0/25/5/70{style} 2:if score < 0 then 0/30/5/65{style} 3:if score > 0 then 0/25/5/70{style} 3:if score > 1 then 0/20-H/40/40{style} 3:if score = 0 then 0/30/5/65{style} 3:if score < 0 then 0/35/5/60{style} 3:if score < -1 then 0/40/5/55{style}

So I saw this and decided to see what my first hack signing has.....and of course he is a 5 chin 1 def guy. I knew I was trying to wait it out to get someone better for a reason.
I will make him work though....for a little bit anyway to get some cash flow.

no way...that will cost me over 900 dollars.
I can get him to make me a few dollars before I give him the boot.

Some good clinch plans and the right matchup and he is ok. its just hard if you get scheduled vs someone you dont plan

Some good clinch plans and the right matchup and he is ok. its just hard if you get scheduled vs someone you dont plan I am not so sure, with that level of chin and defence, even a fighter with low STR & EXP could KO his guy quite easily if they use any kind of power. Of course AI doesn't always fight logically so I am not saying that fights cannot be won with this guy but it is just a lottery as to whether AI decides to use power or not...

We will see - but as UGI said, that his more or less successful boxer had the same score in chin and defense, maybe I will be able to win it. Question: If I just dont write a style in the end of the line in the fighplan my boxer will keep doing what he thinks is right, correct? I hope at least he is clever!

If you do not put in a style then your fighter will just fight without a specific style. Doing this is playing safe as you do not know what attributes your opponent has so you will not gain any benefit from using a style but equally you will not be penalised for it either.
