Was thinking bout this randomly while in bed so decided to write it down before I forgot. What about gym affiliation? Say if a group of friends from different cities (or even the same city) join and would prefer to open gyms with the same name, kinda like a franchise. Would there be a way to incorporate a "benefits" system, like a buddy system for shared resources, multiple access to fighters info, being able to accept/decline fights. Would this trivialise any part of the game? Maybe it would help with the HvH part as it guarantees a larger stable of fighters.
I'm sure I'll be back to edit with more info as I think about it in the morning, i just had to get it down before I forgot hehe.

I like it. Like a group of gyms. I know some people enjoy this team concept. There was similar game WEBL where they were called Clans, but it was more of a manual thing I think , the game did not directly support it. When one gym reaches certain status - lets say worldwide - they can found a "Group". This gym will become a founder of the group. The founder can then start asking other gyms to join his group. The Group will have their own page and protected part of the forum. Their record will be tracked separatly, so that there is group rivalries for best record. Lets say if your gym decided to accept offen to join some group then 10% of your fight income goes to the "Group" treasury. In return you get support from group members. Which means it is acceptable to exchange scout data, fight plans, etc. as long as you are in a same group.
Group treasury can be used for something. I don't know what for now, but I am sure youl will think of something.

How about "group" levels?
You pay money into the "group treasury" via the 10% fight income deduction and it goes towards unlocking each level, rewarding perks.
Level 1 - A title or icon for the gym manager to show affiliation with the "group" on the view gym page Level 2 - Quicker negotiations for unstabled fighters Level 3 - Open up "Gym Equipment" where you can buy training aids for your gym or such, which will enable quicker attribute gain, maybe 1 stat 1.25x faster than normal or 1.5 if you're feeling generous. Level 4 - Extra trainer slot per gym level Level 5 - Extra fighter slot per gym level
I tried to make things not game breakingly advantageous, although i guess that depends on each persons opinion of what would do that.
Just a few quick ideas

Sure.
Once any gym becomes Wealthy and has Worldwide rep that gym can start a group. A leader of the group can then do the following: Change name of group, or web address of website, invite other gyms to join, remove other gyms, resign leadership or create a new leader.
A group fight record is tracked vs. other groups. A group treasury is supported by 10% of income from member gyms. (so if member gyms has no income neither does the group)
All gyms are shown their affiliation on their pages, this also shows up on fight reports.
I can also provide a subforum protected with password to each group. It is acceptable to share fightplans, scout reports , etc with other group members.
(below is not done yet) faster negotiation is not possible, but I could get lower wages if group treasury is allocated for this. I am hesitant to make training faster to unbalance the game, but I can allow more trainers and boxers for group members.
The treasury can be used to build training academy. It allows group leader to "create" boxers. You create a 15 year old am boxer that will a year later enter the game as pro with attributes that you chose.

Are there any plans to add a "create fighter" option for everyone or will you leave it exclusively to groups?

This sounds great! Are there any plans to add a "create fighter" option for everyone or will you leave it exclusively to groups? Maybe everyone at some point, but first I will try it in groups. To be honest signing a 16 year old, you can pretty much make him into anything over the next 20 years. But I can see why people want to create boxer themselves, you get more attached to them and have exact start you want.

ok. So thats partnerships are done.
Passive Benifits: Entering partnership also gets you the ability to have more boxers in your gym. (1 per level of gym more). Community, sharing of ideas, scouting etc.
Costs: 10% of weekly income. No income this week, mean pay nothing this week.
Partnerships. Once a year a partnership leader can take a decision on what action to take for next year from three options:
1. New bargaining agreement - immediate -20% wages for all contracts (staff and boxers) current member gyms. Gym treasury stays the same. 2. Sell Shares. Treasury of gym is distributed to members proportional to gym level (if 120k in treasury and 5 gyms are level5,level3,level2 and 2 gyms level1 - money given to gyms 50k,30k,20k,10k,10k. Gym treasury goes to zero. 3. Build/Improve boxing academy. Academy cost 1M. Once with academy can create 1 boxer every 6 month (24 turns). Level of acedemy dictates how many points you get to distribute to boxer attributes.

will the -20% stack and carry over year to year? i'd say it needs to be reset or very active large partnerships are going to be making huge amounts of money and paying very little out

Any new person signed will be asking for regular contracts. Also when existing contracts expire these guys will be asking for normal contracts. It does stick however, so if you have a trainer with 5 year contract every year you can lower it by 20% Maybe I should have some cost associated with taking this option too, but time will show. If things are unbalanced we will deal with that.

I haven't logged in for quite some time, but it's good to see there is still activity and progress. Its also good to see fergy (aka the beta beast) still around and kicking I like the idea of having the "clan" or group structure added into the game. This also opens up more doors. Group of the year awards (based on money and group winning % or group vs. group winning %)
