Hi everyone, i'd been looking into this game and have read the manual+ newbie guide on here and am anxious to get started...it really does look like the boxing equivalent of SI's Football Manager! I created a new account yesterday with username cns180784 and gym name is nWo. This message is mainly directed at pav, i was hoping i would have been approved by now as it said i'd get an e-mail within 24 hours and i've yet to receive one.
Pav, could you get on to this for me and get it approved so i can start? i cant wait to get stuck in! my e-mail is saccoboy@hotmail.co.uk, thanks a lot in advance.

ok thanks pav. I just read the world superweight fight between joel chuk...(long name) and kian freddie, well most of it. what a fight, i thought it would be good to watch as it was that joel's debut on the world stage having previously been unbeaten in 15 fights across national and continental level....ended in a draw! but freddie's stamina finished a lot lot less than joels'...and joel opened him up twice in the last round, huge gash to above right eye and minor cut to below left. Ref almost stopped it! joel would have him next time if they had a rematch for sure. He cant be happy with that draw, he should have won. His perfect record ended by a guy he should have beat!

Have a question, how do i view a boxers experience rating? or does that only show when u sign/scout a boxer? i noticed looking at a boxers profile that i cant see where it says experience.
Also, if i wanted to sign a boxer who is a free agent, would i be able to see all his attributes before i make him an offer? thanks in advance.

Also their amateur awards. And no, need scouts if you want to see attributes before signing.

Oh right...so what is this experience that i've read about? 0- Novice 1- Experienced 2- Veteran....with more experience, a boxer can use this to avoid getting knocked out when stunned, or when he stuns an opponent, can use this to make it a ko.
Another question...just read that for every fight card a randomly selected sponsor gets added to the fight. Is this randomly selected from absolutely any managers' selected sponsors in the whole game? or is just randonly selected from the fightcard participating boxers' managers?

the sponsor will be chosen from the pool of all sponsors in the game. if a sponsor is chosen which was added to the pool by yourself, you will get a cash bonus.

Thanks for everyone's replies so far. Just wondering if you make money through anything else in the game besides the purse you get at a fight and if your sponsor gets selected? do you get any other sponsorship revenue? thanks in advance.

you gain income through fight purses mostly, but you can also earn income through trading fighters and tournaments.

Thanks UGI, i have read something about these tournaments. Take it the reason for entering them is just to gain extra income and fame for your gym? and take it the boxers you create for them are only used for the tournaments and cant be signed to your gym in career mode?

They cannot - the main sense for the players is to learn fight planning faster and the main sense for Pav is that based on the tournaments the game's balance may be adjusted to increase the quality even more.
Also you gain some cash (not much) by promoting your gym - it is one of the things you may do as manager besides scouting and training.

Hi all and thanks pav for getting me started. I'm looking at signing a boxer, just wondered if it matters what nationality my first boxer is?
