Would like to get some advice on my Roll-Your-Own build. I'd say he is a sissy, but I have some worries. Could someone give me a pointer or two about how I should develop him through training.
SPD-10 STR-1 AGL-12 EXP-5 Sta-6 Conc-6 WrkR-5 Def-2 Chin-8 Skin-15 Flar-7 Hrt-7 Mdia-7 Ambi-7
I understand he's gonna be a slapper, but how bad is my defense and stamina looking for a first time fighter? Which is worst? Which should I train? And do I have enough EXPL to defend against flashes w/ lines like 15-H/25/60 (ring) or should I run away from them altogether...
Any thoughts would be appreciated...

Hey senator. you should not share your stats with folks outside of your partnership. but you did not know and i think it would be useful to anyone to talk about it. He is a roll your own so you development would be very limited because of his age. The boxers develop the fastest at young age. If he was 20 or less and you saw him as a long term investement I would think you would want to work on workrate first. Workrate effects how fast training is. So I would go for workrate for first 3 years and then switch to handspeed and str to make a counter puncher. But I actually suck at this game, so I hope some big guys comment)

With his low stamina he won't last long and his low strength prevents him from hurting anyone, and explosiveness does not matter here. I'd train his stamina, go outside (the Height no strength fightplan) and pick your opponents carefully, you want to fight weak boxers who can't hurt you or strong boxers with no stamina who collapse in 5th round your chin will save you from 1st round KO attempts. It's a poor build but will make you some money anyway.

Thanks for the advice guys. I doubt I will keep him long and I know he's not much to be excited about, but I look forward to getting some fights in with him nonetheless.

My next question???
How long should I stick it out with this guy? My other guys can be released much cheaper. Do most new gyms dump bad fighters as they progress and sign better ones, or do they keep them throughout the contract period as to not pay the release fee? Sorry to keep asking noob questions...

depends , the closer you get to the end of his contract the cheaper it is to release and if a new gym you'll likely be increasing your bank balance over time , so you get to a point where the release fee isnt much of an issue .
Sometimes if a guy is a good money maker but loses fights it can still be worth holding on for a bit to reap the cash to help finance the better boxers you hope to run in the future ( or trainers / cutmen / scouts etc ) .
and yeah train stamina in the meantime , you may well need it if people twig your guy has low strength & start hitting hard and fearlessly to the body

Oh man! The more I look at my fighters the more I think I'm gonna get creamed! But most of the guys in low rankings with them look just as bad so I hope to pick up a few wins.
I read in the manual that B2G picks up part of the release fee for newer gyms... Is there any more info on that, or better yet: is that deduction already displayed in the release fee amount?

Normally you would have to pay the remainder for the contract. So if you wanted to immediately release boxer with two year contract at $150/week it would cost you over $14K. Smaller gyms have it much cheaper.

Thanks everyone for being so helpful. Now if I can just get Albino to let me in EE partnership so I can get that 4th fighter He has fighters active but hasn't logged in the forums here in a while... I sent him an in game message so hopefully I will hear something soon. If not I'll have set my old EE alliances aside and join one of the others I also promoted the game to some old school WeBLers to hopefully bring some over to B2G.

you may also want to put him on trade block for a nice amount, sometimes AI gyms take the bait, especially if you manage to get him good rating

Train Stamina.....if this is the boxer i think it is you are only going to be able to get a few more points of stamina before his stats may begin to fall off (30 yrs old). Pick your opponents carefully and try to make a few dollars off of him before thowing him to the trash heap.

I understand....take it from a manager that has gone broke twice, signed some horrible contracts etc.
In the begininng you are really just trying to be successful with the fighters you can sign. More often than not these fighters are gonna be bums....low stats and/or bad builds etc. But, once you get a few titles under your belt you should be able to sign better/more fighters. Once you get more fighters you should be able to support a staff. Once you are able to support staff you should be able to groom a fine prospect into a world champ.
Good luck and feel free to hit me up if you need anything.
