I had negotiations with Martin Rivas. He rejected my offer saying that my gym too far away from his homeland (it was pretty funny). OK, I did not mind. If no then no.
...and, after a few days, he suddenly joined my gym. I mean I did not expect this at all. I don't mind though, just a bit unexpectedly it happened.
The question is- to prevent such one side moves I should have stopped negotiations myself either?

strange indeed. I have no idea how that could happen. So you did not approve his contract? or he just rejected you without giving you a chance? In that case how did he get his wage per week? is this what you offered?

I had the same thing happen a while back. I negotiated with a fighter only for him to reject me the next turn, but the turn after that he was in my gym on the contract he rejected. I negotiated with him two turns before his next fight so if he accepted i had time to enter a plan but because he rejected and joined the turn after i got him on the day of his fight which he lost but on the plus side i got his fight purse.

It does not happen if the boxer rejects you right away. But if he rejects you during re-negotiation there is some bug.

I sent him an offer, then he gave me conditions, I corrected them, he said- no... and in a few days he joined my gym.

He did give you his offer. Then you countered with yours and he rejected. To help me do you remember if he joined under wages he suggested or the ones with we you countered?

Sorry, I can't say this, I don't remember. I was not interested in him too much, just sent him a small offer to see maybe he'd agree...

Just happened to me! www.box2glory.com/npc/8844bio.htmcontacted him last week, he responded with an initial offer, I replied with the lowest wage possible, then did not access negotiation during the weekend, then today before the end-of-turn the negotiation page said that negotiation had been closed he rejected the offer for some reason, and now after the end-of-turn he's in my gym the wage is the one I offered, which is a good sign, I smell lots of money coming my way

looks like I have a bug here. And also another one that has to do with weight change that llecha noted. I will check.
