I am thinking if I should attach a boxer to a new gym automatically. It has been suggested, as it takes three real life days to get a boxer because of negotiation, etc. Some user are not so patient. Shoudl I just randomly assign some local bum to a new gym? I am torn on this.
Suprisingly about 40% of the users I created accounts for during BETA never logged in at all. So obviously it was not because of lack of boxer in their stable. The once that did login for the most part suffered through the negotiations to get a boxer themselves.

i like this idea, maybe have it set so he'll work for free for x amount of turns to get people set up?

How come this has not been implemented? 3 days to get up and running, thats without having a fight is quite a long time for the start of a game  Would certainly be a helping hand for us newbies |

OK, this is what I will do. I will allow a new gym to ask for a boxer to be created for them. A random low level boxer will be created for gym as soon as possible afterwards and will join a gym for a year -$200/month.

I think being assigned 1 fighter is the best way of doing it. It will make people want to build up their "own" fighter and will speed up the start a little bit. Either that or speed up the game time, which I think should be done anyway. I think 2 turns per real life day would be interesting.

This will allow new managers to create their own amateur fighters from day one and have them enter tournaments. |

Tis was brought up during the beta session, but doing so may cause serious problems for other parts of the game. The programmer may be able to explain better.

It takes an 1 1/2 hour to run a turn script now. Having a turn every 12 hours means only playing 21 of 24 hours. I also want everyone have a chance to manager no matter of their location. If someone slept for 10 hours while the game was running that person may not have a chance to play a turn. And some like having each division have their own weekday on which they fight which is the result of having 24 hour turn cycle.
As far as attaching a boxer to a gym is possible but how to make it fair? I can assign same attributed boxer to all new gyms but then the game will be filled with identical garbage boxers. Also the game cannot handle that many boxers entering the game each turn as there are new gyms created. A new boxer can only be added once a previously added boxer had his fight fight. But having amateur division will fix the problems of waiting for new gyms as they will be able to build and use their amateur stable (one am. boxer per division - so 7 boxers can be created right away).

I think everyone would like to record that a fighter had a record of the player. And not another's defeats and victories. Why not allow any steps to take to the gym newbies with zero fights.

Soon you will be able to create you own boxers. But you will have to win tournaments with them to turn them into pros.
