Hi everyone! I just found this game a couple days ago, and think it looks fantastic. I love sports management sims in general; definitely my favorite video game genre. I haven't ever found a boxing game that looked worth playing, so I'm new to this specific concept, but hopefully I'll figure out things quickly. Expect big things out of the Philately Gym stable

Welcome Philately!
This has got to be the most in depth boxing sim out there. Feel free to ask if you have any questions. This is a new game, so we are all learning. There are many good managers here that will gladly help if you need it.
Cheers!

Hello to all , am probably one of many WEBL refugees looking to find a new home . Been reading & simming ( still bound to be crap at it but looking forward to giving it a go ) . Some good people over at the old game , hoping have stumbled into a good community here also .

Good to see you here mate. Here's a couple of things that might find useful: there is no "round" conditional so you have to write the Fp's in long form. Endurance_percent in WeBL = stamina_percent here. Your towel line is the first line of you fp not your last. You dont need ; at the end of every line of your fp...These things might save you a bit of time...

Thanks for the heads up , is appreciated . Overall looks good here ( my only small concern is not being able to create fighters , will have to actually scout more I guess ) . Hoping to learn one type to start & so on , not sure if is possible/realistic here but will learn as I go . Writing/tweaking a simple FP & seeing how it simmed out got me all nostalgic it did .

I just hired a basic scout for about £52 a week so you can do that when you get a couple of fighters...Once I started simming it all came back to me. There is more to do here in terms of making fights, hiring & firing staff etc but not running 50 fighters or whatever means there is a bit more spare time...

was planning on a much smaller gym over here , maybe only 1 fighter per weight . Wondering of WEBL plans can be translated across or if the fight engine is so different as to be a non runner . Are there established build types over here or is more fluid ? thanks again for the tips BTW all helps

Are there established build types over here or is more fluid ? thanks again for the tips BTW all helps The fight engine is essentially the same but has a few add ons like taunting so yes you can adapt WeBL plans exactly as long as you change terminology, as I said earlier you cannot use round as a conditional do you have to write the longer version of a plan e.g. 2:if stamina_percent > 97 then x/x/x/x 2:if stamina_percent > 96 then x/x/x/x 2:if stamina_percent > 95 then x/x/x/x And you need to do that for each round rather than using the old round shortcut. Basically you times all your old agg/pow/def by 5 so 4/8/8 in WeBL becomes 0/20/40/40 here with the zero here being rest. So if you wanted to rest here, what would have been 2/1/9 in WeBL becomes 40/10/5/45 here. All the style benefits are the same but there are a few more variables as agility is made up of more than one component. So there are not necessarily specific build here as they game makes fighters rather than players but if you have an agility advantage then you would still use ropes or ring and a speed advantage would still be counter or feint... I am still a newbie here but that seems to about the extent of the differences...

I have used the find and replace function in xcel to adapt some of my old WeBL plans...
