Level 1 Academy does not really seem to roll builds worth signing. The first boxer we rolled had 3 for STR, SPD, AGL and STA. Really poor.
Seems we will have to upgrade to higher level before generating any real prospects.

well, our first boxer out has much better stats.....9 spd, 5 str, 9 agl, 7 expl....stamina and chin were on the low side. Compared to what you have rolled this guy is a keeper. If his chin was better I would have signed him right away, but with the low chin I have to really consider.
Pros: decent fighting stats, age 17 Cons: low chin, low stamina, low workrate

Just a reminder that we should not share the stats unless in the same partnership. Of course if you never intended to confirm that guy to join pro ranks that would be OK, but if you were to OK him to join pro ranks then it would be an issue.

Sorry Pav, I wasnt trying to skirt around the stat sharing rule, just trying to discuss a newly added feature and that not all boxers generated are going to be world beaters or be generated to our preferences. But, that is why I like the "do what you can with what you got" career sim. Hence the pros and cons.
One boxer may be lower in fighiting stats, but with a good workrate at a young age you can build that fighter up.
On the other hand, a boxer with good fighting stats, lower workrate at the same age will probably have the same potential.
The deciding factor to keep the boxer or not came down to his chin.
BTW, one of the UGI members wanted the fighter, but I cannot seem to "find" him. Any idea where to locate him?

I know that you were not trying to break the rules, that is why i just did a reminder because sometimes even myself forget and start displaying stats. The academy graduate stick around for turn or two and you can find them in the same place. (Check Boxing Academy). If he is not there, he decided not to go pro (because you did not talk to him) and joined the world at large...he is forever gone from B2G.

no boxing academy graduates yet from anyone? No, with the builds we are rolling it is just not competitive. We will have to upgrade our facilities dramatically.

You should get same boxers as game generates every first week of march and september with Local awards, some local awards. Some of these do become world champs. I will check the rolls you are getting.

SPD 7 STR 1 AGL 6 EXPL 1 STA 4 CHIN 4 This guy should NOT quit his day job!

Are non fighting attributes high then? Also later today I am putting in a change that will allow you to change first and last names of your academy graduates.

The rolls are proper for boxers with local, some local awards. These are slightly better rolls then roll-your-own boxer generate. But of course fighting stats and other stats are all distributed randomly so you may end up with bad fighting stats. I would not be surprised if some roll-your-own boxer can get lucky and get fighting stats better then rolled boxers with "national" awards. Talent will most certainly be lower though.

Has anyone been able to get a boxer to "go pro" I have tried many times and have yet to have a boxer go pro from the boxing academy.

Yes, a bug, explains why I have not seen a single boxer go pro. I just fixed it. Every time you see '"Gym takes action" but there nothing below...its a sign of a problem.
