Did anybody get a chance to watch the Alvarado-Rios rematch? ?If you missed it and get a chance to see the replay, watch it. And who here thinks that Guerrero has a shot at upsetting Mayweather????Just curious. Also looking forward to the Judah-Garcia fight.

no, i have actually not been watching much, as i have no HBO anymore. I could probably find it online somewhere, i heard it was awesome. PBF is what 36 now? That's when your reflexes start to drop, he has been much more technically sound then RJJ so I expect him to last longer but he will lose soon. But not to Guerrero I think.

Yep, I saw Alvarado-Rios, good fight, not OOOO! but decent one. And I think yes, Mayweather can be beaten. His age means that it can happen in every fight, it starts suddenly like it happened with Roy Jones. He is the best boxer I've ever seen, but no one can win eternally. someday either it will happen or he'll be smart enough to quit.

Age is a boxers nemesis (unless your last name is Foreman)i watched a fight on HBO last night (maybe a replay & not live)there were 2 title fights and then the main event and get this the main event was a 4 rounder, but the fighter was a flyweight and it was his 1st fight he is from Japan and was a gold medalists in the Olympics. I cannot remember his name (Age thing) but he had a ton of hype and he actually looks like he has some talent i was wondering if anybody knows who i am talking about? They say he will be a champ in 1 year.

Foreman won because strength and explosiveness is the last thing that a fighter losses with age. He was losing every round and beat up badly until Moore went stupid. A better example is Hopkins, someone with great boxing fundumentals can last a long time. Someone who used their fast reflexes and ignored the boxing fundumentals will crumble as soon as their reflexes start to go like RJJ and I feel to some expend PBF.

Boxing fundumentals? What do you mean? Whole boxing techniques?
Hop is a great spoiler, he fights only the way he wants to, he forces opps to play his game- either you play it or I will start to cheat, clinch etc.. He's aт expert in this, very smart and dirty fighter. Top class of course, people even love him though he's an antipode of fighters like Gatti.

boxing fundamentals are something that you learn when you do not have freakish reflexes that allow you to get away with having your hands down. If you do not have such amazing reflexes you are forced to get the fundamentals right. The right stance, the right movement, the right way to get back to your stance after you throw a punch, etc. RJJ never had to learn that because he was so freaky fast. Hopkins did. He knows all the tricks too, like you said.

Yeah, Hop lived a whole life on the ring, he knows- or maybe better to say: he feels- everything.
