Some of you suggested that speed is weaker than strength and footwork. So I am thinking of making speed more potent by increasing effectiveness of speed based styles. Would like to hear from the big boys on their opinions. I do feel like I am not seeing a lot of speed based fighter winning tourneys.
The current tourney, Punchy you winning with counter, so do you still feel like speed is undervalued? Would love to hear from Rock as well.
Thanks.

I need time to check it closer, now I can't do it. In fact speed based fighters should never be equal to str. based in endurance wars, they are better in winning round cos of good speed, so there should be a balance between different abilities of different fighters. So it's pretty thin thing.
Now it works good in general. Maybe some lil turning.

I am on holiday right now in sunny Fuerteventura so I can't do any serious sim work but if I were to say to you that I not used speed above 8 in any tournament then it will give you an idea of how I rate it's importance.
What I won my last couple of tournie a with were not counterpunchers, they used outside as their style of choice due to height, counter was only used to stop fighters allouting my guy and it worked because of their height advantage and not their speed.
From my limited testing (some time ago) speed biased fighters do not seem to work in B2G. In WeBL, from middleweight and above counterpunchers could hold their own on endurance with any style and also deal decent damage but that does not seem to be the case here...

thanks Punchy, i guess i do need to crank up counter/feint then. Mine is just one opinion, see what somebody like MartB thinks, he was always a fan of Cpers over at WeBL so he might have some insight. When I tested the comp sim ages ago, I didn't feel that I got much benefit from speed past 8 or to be more accurate, there seemed to be better use of points in strength or footwork. This was when we had more ability points to play with, when we have a low number of points to play with in tournie I usually dial down speed accordingly, particularly if you can make up for by using height, which is of course "cheaper" in a tournie format.
