Simple one really in terms of numbers of gyms and fighters are people still coming in at a decent rate ( or at least enough to cover losses ) ?
Just wondered as similar conversations going on over at WEBL & got me curious over here

the rookie of the year award still lists 3 rookies every game year so yes, there are still people coming in

Hey Bullan, 67 active players (logged since 4 turns ago) we have (http://www.box2glory.com/ hovering mouse over an icons on right upper corner you can see stats), We used to have 100+ at peak when webl was down. I don't advertise the game anywhere, can't afford that for a hobby project of mine.
I am working to make more improvements, want to get people fighting real-time with boxers that they create themselves and they can turn those professional to join full game on a 24 hour-turn base level. The game is too slow early on, I want anyone to be able to fight at any time in a new amateur league.
After that is done I will see where B2G to go from there.

Just wondered as similar conversations going on over at WEBL & got me curious over here Hey bullan, just went to read forums at webl...trying to borrow some rookies from b2g naughty boy? I don't see webl and b2g as having anything in common other than fight engine that I borrowed to build on. I find simulated boxing world with real and AI gyms and boxers with real finances as the big part of what makes it a fun hobby for me. My motivation for b2g was football manager games, not webl. So Rotmo has it right that the games can't really merge. And I only program b2g as long as it is fun to go on. I mean b2g is my baby, programming webl...even webl existing is not under my control. With new things I am adding to the game b2g is a more appealing game to new users especially. I think most folks that play webl will continue to be veterans of the game that have great memories of playing the game over the last 15 years. Nostalgia will keep them coming back, regardless of any new development taking place over there... Of course they are all welcome to come here instead...I do remember forums being a whole-lot more active with them around when webl was down.

Seriously I do think that people can ( and I do ) play both games . Fighter creation and then seeing them grow is one of the things I like most so will likely run more over here when that goes live . As for the 2 games merging , cant see that working either to be honest but still a lot of ideas are getting batted about over there so no complaints someone threw it into the ring . The pace of things getting done has always been way quicker over here and yeah it is a lot more new guy friendly for sure .

Hi, Pav.
I noticed that you've thought about some speeding up of the game. Would be interesting to try something on the dayly basis, one weight class that has its fights dayly, it may speed up the game in 7 times. Of course it won't allow to scout and choose your fights like it's being done with weekly mode, but all other stuff is going to be OK. Both these games are quite slow.
I've just signed up two prospects and start to think how long will it take to make something out of them... Though I'm not sure if this idea is any good.

Not sure if it represents a downturn in people playing tourneys is just a fluke or my fighter needs to shower more but been in a queue of 1 in the current tourney registration for a few days now . This isnt meant as a dig or complaint if it reads that way just wondering what's going down ?

The tourney was stuck. Hopefully will work now.
Sorry it takes longer to put new feature in. Real time has to be done right. Will get there and it is going to be great!

Just released Protege ability.... Creating a protégé allows you to do three things for the first time in B2G: - Fight in real-time any time, even if live opponnent is not available for blitz or blitz is already used by others!
- Create boxers to your exact specification!
- Control a boxer from the time he is 14 year old amateur to the ultimate glory of holding the professional World Champion title!
Next on to fight comment expansion and gui updates
